Smooth transition

Rear-end damage like this goes beyond what you see at first glance.

When multiple panels are involved, it’s not just about replacing parts—it’s about making sure everything lines up, flows together, and looks right from every angle.

For this 2022 Infiniti Q50, the repair involved both panel replacement and refinishing to restore the rear of the vehicle properly.

We started with a full inspection to understand how the impact affected the surrounding panels and structure. From there, the repair was carried out step by step:

  • The rear bumper was replaced, restoring the main impact area

  • The right quarter panel was replaced, ensuring proper structure and alignment

  • The trunk lid and right rear door were blended so the color transitions naturally across all panels using our advanced PPG Moonwalk paint system

This repair handled through Progressive, with JB overseeing the process to keep everything consistent and moving efficiently.

When multiple panels are repaired and replaced like this, the small details matter. Panel gaps, body lines, and color consistency all have to come together so nothing stands out once the job is complete.

Before delivery, the vehicle goes through a final quality check to make sure everything meets our standards for fit, finish, and overall appearance.
